2 Bed/1 Bath in a recently renovated high rise in Hyde Park (52nd and Blackstone). Bedrooms *furnished* for $1335/mo. More photos, floorplan, and showings available on request.
Spend your summer looking out onto the Chicago skyline from the 14th floor of the Blackwood, a recently renovated building at 5200 Blackstone. Enjoy the building’s extensive amenities, including 24/7 doorman, central air, wifi, gym, in-building laundry, and study space. The building is a short (<5 minute) walk from the busy 53rd street which features CVS, Kimbark Liquors, Subway, Five Guys, and dozens of other restaurants and shops.
Transit: For UChicago students, the East runs a block south of the building. CTA route 172 is also a block away; transit to downtown by Metra or CTA is within a 10 minute walk.
The apartment is an open-floorplan 2 bed, 1 bath with 660 sq. feet. Bedrooms are fully furnished, including full-size beds (one is Tempur!), dressers, and some closet organization. Kitchen has granite counters, dishwasher, range, oven, microwave, and large refrigerator/freezer. Currently the common room is mostly unfurnished but I’m willing to negotiate furnishing. There will be a 46” Sony Bravia TV!
Price is $1335/mo for the entire unit. Willing to negotiate for individual bedrooms. One of the bedrooms is only available until 20 September (see below).
Timing: Available starting June 1, but will not be furnished until 15 June. One bedroom is available until 20 September; the other is available until early January. (Willing to negotiate for all or part of this timespan, for either or both bedrooms.) For the summer, we’re also willing to consider a three-person group (one could sleep in the common space on a futon or air mattress).
