A Medical language specialist transcribes dictation by physicians and other healthcare providers in order to document patient care. The associate will also be involved in the research of questions and in the education of others involved with patient care documentation. Principle Duties and Responsibilities: An associate in this position is given transcription assignments that require a seasoned depth of knowledge in all medical and surgical specialties. Associates at this level are able to transcribe all work types for all medical and surgical specialties. Associates are able to resolve problems independently.
